Follow Friday Recommendations 18 Sept 2009

Ok, first an apology as I haven’t been posting my #followfriday recommendations every week. To make up for it, I’ve got some really good ones for you this week:

@XH558 (http://www.twitter.com/xh558)
I’ll admit this looks a strange ID but it is the registration of the only remaining airworthy Avro Vulcan. The Vulcan was originally introduced into the Royal Air Force fleet in the 1950s as part of the British Cold War arsenal and if you have ever seen it fly, it is an awesome sight. A Vulcan famously bombed Port Stanley during the 1982 Falklands War (read the book “Vulcan 607″ – its incredible) and was taken out of service shortly after. XH558 was sold to a private company and after much hard work and fund raising, it has taken to the skies again. Follow @XH558 for news and updates to see when it takes to the skies. They also have a website – http://www.vulcantothesky.org/

@ShellyKramer (http://www.twitter.com/ShellyKramer)
Very active on Twitter with great conversation and some excellent links to sites offering good advice about business online. WARNING: Don’t go near Shelly if you are a spammer, she doesn’t take prisoners !!!

@SomakHolidays (http://www.twitter.com/SomakHolidays)
A UK holiday company who really understand social media. Will happily chat with you plus some good travel info too.
